Dr. Tolga Mesen, a specialist in infertility, fertility preservation, and minimally invasive surgery, has been selected to lead Carolina Fertility Institute’s (CFI) new office in Charlotte. Dr. Mesen is currently Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is Board Eligible in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
CFI will open the Charlotte office this summer in the Eastover Medical Park located at 2614 East 7th St.
Dr. Mesen is well known in Charlotte and the surrounding areas. He completed his four-year residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. During this time, he was elected as the Chief Resident in his final year. Following residency he completed his sub-specialty fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
Dr. Mesen first became interested in reproductive medicine as a medical student at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, when he crossed paths with Dr. Yalcinkaya as a medical student. They quickly formed a strong and lasting relationship due to their shared interest in the treatment of infertility. According to CFI founder Dr. Tamer Yalcinkaya, Dr. Mesen was the first choice to head the new location. “Dr. Mesen knows the Charlotte market, local doctors and has treated patients there. Charlotte patients are currently seeing their local Charlotte OB/GYNs for regular appointments and ultrasounds, with specialized appointments at CFI Winston-Salem.
